The wedding at Chester Zoo..

Joanna and Paul got married at Chester Zoo, and to compliment her dress, Joanna wanted a Red Rose shower bouquet.  Here is what we made her.

Grand Prix Roses with Burgandy Spray Roses, Ivory Spray Roses and Veronica.

And for the bridesmaids, an adult wand with Avalanche Roses and Burgandy Spray Roses.  The stems decorated with a sheer Burgandy ribbon and bow.

And, for the groom, a Grand Prix Rose complimented with Orchids and Spray Roses.

Joanna, it was lovely to deal with you, you have such a quirky character.  Hope you both happy forever... lots of love Paula x

The Aubergine Calla Lillies.....

Rachel wanted a spot of Aubergine in a shower bouquet.  She liked Calla Lillies so here is what we come up with.

Thank you Rachel, and thank you for the beautiful thank you card you sent.  You dont realise how happy they make us. We know you pay us to do the job, but we do put our heart and soul into it so that thank you warms our hearts.... truly!!

A selection of the flowers used.  Aubergine Calla Lillies, Ivory Spray Roses, Purple Lisianthus and Gypsophelia.

The shower bouquet designed just a couple of hours before the big moment!!

The civil room in The Everglades Park Hotel.  Our chair covers and free topiary tree package really dressed this room up.

Thank you so much.... and here's to a happy and healthy lifetime together.

Love and best wishes, Paula x

Your're all heart....

This wedding had a totally romantic feel to it, and the bridal bouquet set the tone in the shape of a heart.  The bride had a really good idea of what she wanted and with a couple of tweeks here and there, this is what we came up with.

I was told she was delighted with it when she received it.  Hope the day was as truly romantic. as this design.

A display of the chosen flowers.  Dolimitri Roses, with Lisianthus, Spray Roses and Gypsophelia.

And here is the design in full, edged with a diamante and beaded collar.

An adult wand for the bridesmaids complimented the theme..

And, I just bet that the bridesmaid looked cute carrying this heart shaped design with a spray of fresh blooms inside.

And out of all the florists, she chose us.  I hope our designs helped to make Laura's day extra special.

With lots of flowerfilled love Paula xx

Wear your colours with pride.....

Can you get Rainbow Roses?   Of course we can get Rainbow Roses..... in abundance if necessary!!

The rainbow colours were the main theme for their civil partnership and this rose was just the ticket.  After a consultation these are the designs that we all came up with.

Congratulations lads, and thanks for involving us in your big day.

Rainbow roses for all the guests..

The Groom's buttonholes.

A Rainbow rose design for the civil room.

Barry and Wayne asked us to decorate their room at The Hillcrest Hotel, Widnes with chair covers and gold sashes.  Of course they got their free topiary trees with this package.

They chose Yellow Roses for the evening and along with some balloons, this gave a very atmospheric feel.  Just ready for the party!!

Barry and Wayne, we hope you had a wonderful day.  We are sure your partnership will be fabulous.

Love Paula xx

The Pinks are back again....

So, you girls are just loving the pink at the moment.  Sweet Avalanche Roses, Dolce Vita Roses,  Mimi Eden Spray Roses, Dendrobian Orchids and Lisianthus all feature in this wedding for Helen.

I have to say, I do have a soft spot for Pink weddings but then, I do for White weddings, and Red weddings.. Oh, you get the picture!!

Enjoy....

A close up of the shower bouquet to illustrate the impact this particular mixture of flowers gave.

Helen's shower bouquet, we thinked she liked it!!

A close up of the delicate colour the Sweet Avalanche Rose has and how this complimented the colours in Helen's bouquet.

And, how it looked in the overall shape of the handtied bouquet that her bridesmaids carried.

The grooms buttonhole was designed with a Dolce Vita Rose, Dendrobian Orchid and Lisianthus... all of which were in Helen's bouquet.

And, we didnt manage to get pictures of the venue in Wigan but here are the flowers lined up like soliders waiting to go and do their job for Helen's big day....  Hint Hint Helen... come on, I know you have only been married for a day or two but send us the pics wont you??  ;)

With Love.. Paula xx

Just a splash of Pink....

This was a very last minute wedding for us, Sarah's previous florist had said she could not do the job so she looked to the Holiday Inn, Runcorn for a referral and found us in their brochure.  Sarah, thanks for putting your trust in us, we hope you enjoyed your day!!!

Oh, and we didnt even let the fourty minute delay of the fire alarm put us off.  In fact, the girls said the firemen were "very nice"....  What can I say to that????

Shower Bouquet with Dolce Vita Roses, Lisianthus, Lily Grass and Ruscus foliage.

Sarah brought in the baskets, and we designed the flowers inside.

Matching corsages for the Mums..

Lily Delight with Stargazer Lillies and modern foliage.

The Holiday Inn, Runcorn..

Sarah also made a brilliant choice to dress the room further with our sparkling light curtain.  This room in the Holiday Inn Runcorn can be a big room to fill and the curtain really helps with that.

And, of course, with the light curtain, comes the free archway with its own fairy lights.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

How the American Brides do it......

So, I am that obsessed with flowers that not only do I play with them all day!!  I then talk about them of an evening with my friends in America.  Anyway, weddings are always a big focus 'cause we love to explore our creative side, it's what we do best.

I always notice that the American brides puts a lot of focus on her flowers in their venue, whether it be a tall design with the WOW effect or a low cube with just some really beautiful blooms.  From Orchids, to Roses, to Gerbera and Molucella.

I wanted to share some of the American trends for the English brides to look at so I kindly asked three florists if they would mind me sharing their pictures, just to give us English a taste of what our friends over the pond are doing.

I would like to thank Cathy from Sprout Flowers in Worcester, Adam from Belvedere Flowers in Philadelphia and Brandon from Enchanted Florist (cool name by the way) in Ashland in Oregon.  Brandon also does great websites for florists and other small to medium business and I must say, he does a fabulous job.  If you need a website, please check out his site www.epicflowers.com

Anyway, now for the pics..... Please leave some comments if you have any...

This is a selection of vases with different blooms in.  I particularly like the cylinder vase in the centre with blooms of Dendrobian Orchids.  The lighting in this picture is fabulous, don't you think?

And, what about this one.  A mixture of green roses with foliage and berries.  So fresh and inspiring.

What can I say about this one??  Just WOW!!  Imagine walking into your reception with these on the tables, the impact would be enormous...

This is one of my favourites I must say.  The impact of a uniformed row of cubes with luscious red roses is fantastic...Red Roses, Anigozanthus and much more..

More Red, fantasic peonies and roses and even the foliage has accents of Red.  Gorgeous, don't you think?

How about this for an E shaped table?  Classic and Elegant with just a few blooms.  Beautiful.

Simple and elegant but you cannot deny that this is all about the flowers, pure indulgence.

And, I had to take this picture when I seen it.  Mostly because I wanted to eat it but look how the flowers have made this cake look fabulous.....

What can I say... I love flowers, they are my life, they make everything look beautiful and if you want to make your wedding stand out from the crowd, you have to let them be a big part of it.

Couple of Unusual Bouquets

Again, having looked through the pictures of all the flowers that we have done (I do this a lot), I came accross these two bouquets, and thought that these two brides just thought slightly outside the box, and it paid off.

Colette went for a shower of Avalanche Roses adorned with crystal threads and diamante.

Vicky went for a handtied bouquet of Vendella Roses with a delicate Dendrobian Orchid decorating the top with a pink skeleton leaf underneath.  (This design was a lot harder than it looked....).  Edged in loops of grass.

Tropical and Fun.....

This is a wedding we did a few years ago, but I stumbled accross these pictures and thought I would share for those of you that like bold colour and want to inject a tropical feel to your wedding day.

Have a look at these and see what you think.

Handtied bouquet of Cerise Gerbera, Orange Gerbera, Red bromiliad and Green Cymbidium Orchid.  Edged in Palm Leaves.

For the flowergirl, a wand of Cymbidium Orchid.

For the groom, a Cymbidium Orchid buttonhole.

For the mums, a corsage of small orange and pink Roses.
